History
“Giving chocolate to others is an intimate form of communication...
a sharing of deep, dark secrets.”
– MILTON ZELDMAN.
The first 'Bon Bon Fine Chocolate' store opened in Double Bay in 1982 and became known and loved as an exclusive boutique supplier of fine, imported, handmade European chocolates. Andrew Yiasemedis was one of the many customers who grew up captivated by the store, so much so that he strove to dedicate his life to making more of the brand he loved and expanding the 'Bon Bon' business to a wider audience.
Andrew's passion for Bon Bon finally paid off when he took over as owner of the store and brand in Double Bay in 1998. In 1999 he opened a second store in the Queen Victoria Building. Two years later - unable to find a quality Nougat - he experimented in his home kitchen for nearly a year until he produced what is now known as the famous nougat “Nougat Limar” a recognised brand, sold nationally and exported to over nine countries around the world. | This was however not the end... after 13 years of providing exquisite chocolates, his new store - located in the historic “Strand Arcade” corner of Pitt St Mall - brings with it unparalleled taste which you are sure to find in any location stamped with the Bon Bon Fine Chocolate logo, as well as the Bon Bon Café Restaurant café which offers a substantial breakfast and lunch Menu and a selection of tantalizing deserts. |
To find out more about our selection of chocolates, nuts and nougats please feel free to browse the site at your leisure or contact us at either our (Head office) (Pitt St) or (QVB) locations.
